It's been some time since Ardbeg's last new release hasn't it? Say, approximately 1 week?

Well, we're back with another Ardbeg release that's revealed itself - a 23 Year Old expression notably of the 2000 vintage, having been matured in Sherry and Bourbon casks.

According to the back label, we can see the following:

"Laid down in the Year 2000 amidst the Millennium bug frenzy, Ardbeg Y2K is the first release of this serendipitous rare stock.

Matured in Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks, Ardbeg Y2K emits notes of lemon balsam and linseed oil, with hints of heather honey and creosote. Intensely sweet and classically smoky, peppermint and aniseed load up into ground coffee and oak tannins."

"first release of this serendipitous rare stock" seems to indicate more future releases!

This release is bottled at 46% ABV.
