Quality Drops offers New UK Craft Beers in Singapore, and Enters Partnership with Top UK Brewery

The importers of some of the UK's best craft breweries, Quality Drops, have just launched fresh beers from their latest shipment. Their eighth shipment since they started nearly two years ago, this time around they are back to focusing on the exciting UK craft beer scene.

The QD team are spread across Singapore and the UK, meaning they are constantly on the hunt for the craft beer breweries that are turning heads through their beer. Once a brewery peaks their interest, they work with them directly to tell them more about Singapore and see if they would be open to exporting their beer. Brewery visits and regular catch ups help to solidify these strong working relationships, allowing for the QD team to become an extended part of the brewery team - even if it does mean a few drunken nights in the process.

As a result, dropping in the latest release are some highly respected craft breweries that are new to the Quality Drops line up, Track Brewing, Burnt Mill Brewery and FLOC. who are in Singapore for the first time. They also have the latest seasonal brews from their ever popular favourites; like hazy beer specialists Polly's Brew Co., famous Leed's producer North Brewing Co., the big and bold Wander Beyond and of course fruity, refreshingly beers from sour specialists Vault City.

Quality Drops are also pleased to announce another recent partnership with one of the UK's top craft beer breweries. BEAK, from Lewes in South England have been impressing drinkers in the UK for the last few years.

What started as a small project that travelled and collaborated with Britains biggest names in the craft beer world, eventually lead to a huge new brewery and taproom. They set out to make 'life affirming' beers, that are highly drinkable and to be enjoyed in the company of all your mates. David, one of Quality Drops owners has been drinking BEAK in the UK for a while now and tells us "They have made some incredible pale ales, IPAs and Stouts over the last few years and it's exciting that people will be able to try these in Singapore for the first time".

BEAK beers will go on tap for the first time at MALT Craft Beer Bar on Beach Rd sometime around the New Year period, as well as dropping on the Quality Drops webshop at the same time. Sign up to their newsletter for the heads up on when you can order them!

With over 80 new beers, you can get your hands on these via their webstore qualitydropsbeer.com! New users can get 10% off their first order when they sign up to the Quality Drops newsletter, which gives you exclusive priority access to new breweries, events and offers.

You can also follow them on Instagram @qualitydropsbeer so that you will be the first to know about events about town and the freshest brews.

More on the breweries:

Track Brewing

In 2008 Sam set off on what would become a two year odyssey cycling around the world. The first part of that trip took him from the East to the West Coast of the United States, it was on this leg that Sam started coming across small Taprooms and Breweries producing beer that left a lasting impression.

Beer became more than a way to end the day. It became a way to reflect, connect and share. Local breweries were the lifeblood of communities large & small, places for discussion, inspiration & exploration. 1 bike, 5 continents, 25 countries, 35,000 miles. The start of an idea!

The United States made a lasting impression, and once back in the UK, he gained experience in breweries around London. Moving back up North, a small railway arch in Manchester became the beginning of Track. After smashing it out of the park with some top draw juicy, hazy, fresh brews – they moved to a massive unit with a taproom in the same estate as Cloudwater. Russell has been itching to add them to our line-up since the days he went to Uni there, and after a visit last Christmas to their new space, it only went on to back this up!

FLOC.

FLOC. Is the result of hard work by owner Ross Shields and a great example of the home brewer to brewery owner journey.

Ross started homebrewing on 20L kit in a brewshop down the road from his day job. Nipping down at lunch to check on brews and perfecting the recipes over time. He solidified his knowledge with a brewing course and some experience in a commercial brewery before getting let go at the very start of the UK COVID lockdowns.

Always determined to do his own thing, he took the time to take stock and refine the perfect mix between brand and beer - all whilst looking after a newborn baby. He bought some kit for the kitchen and did early morning brews that gained a reasonable following. The next step was a small industrial unit in Margate where every brew flew off the shelf.

Now, FLOC. has a much bigger brewery and taproom in Canterbury. Rapidly becoming one of the hottest, upcoming UK breweries, known for their hoppy, fresh, New England styles. They have also brewed an increasing amount of collabs with some of the UK’s finest; DEYA, Beak, Track, Cloudwater, Left Hand Giant, Verdant etc.

We’ve been following their progress for a while now and super excited to be working together to bring their beers to Singapore. Only 4 beers this time around so make sure not to miss them!

Burnt Mill

Started in an Suffolk old dairy shed a few years ago, Burnt Mill set out to make fresh, unfiltered beers. Soon after setting up shop, they were awared best new brewery in England by Rate Beer... People were loving their initial brews. Their core beers Pintle and Green Path have driven an ambitious growth over the years that followed as well as multiple collabs with some of the world's biggest breweries. Head brewer Sophie De Ronde, who brings a wealth of experience in malt and grain, is a big advocate of quality being the main focus of the brewery.

It’s fine to have great branding, but you need to have great, consistent beer to back it up. The breweries we admire the most put quality first and everything follows on from that. If we can do the same, then we’ll be doing ok.” - Charles O'Reilly, Owner.
