In the first addition to its Enigma series in 15 years, Ron Matusalem has created a 23-year-old rum, this time aged in ex-Bordeaux barrels.
Pays homage to the brand’s French roots, this expression joins the brand's permanent Enigma range, alongside the gold-labelled Gran Reserva American Oak, which last debuted in 2010.
Drawing on the brand's 150-year legacy, the Enigma range highlights the brand’s unparalleled skill in sourcing the world’s most elite wood and mastering its aging process.
The new 23-year-old rum has been aged exclusively in ex-Bordeaux oak barrels using the Solera system, and is said to have notes of red berries, moss, vanilla, honey, dried fruits, and a blend of sweet and herbaceous spices.
