Overall - Was given a 280ml bottle of this 🍶 to try. First time trying out a Karakuchi Namazake 辛口生酒。生酒meaning 🍶which is not pasteurized and have to drink it chilled in order to preserve its freshness. First nose of the 🍶, I can only smell steam 🍚 and alcohol with just a slight hint of tropical fruits but I was unable to identified what fruits. The taste compliments the medium umami of this 🍶. Although it is medium dry and medium umami, the light body actually makes the 🍶enjoyable and balanced. With a short length, this🍶is best paired with food with strong flavors such as cheese, curry or 🥩 stew. I paired this 🍶 with Italian Truffle Dumplings filled with rich Ricotta 🧀 . It helps to balance the overwhelmingly rich flavors and make the food not so jelat. Overall, this is a good 🍶.
