Coca-Cola and OREO have teamed up for an unexpected partnership in Singapore, dubbed "BESTIES," and they're releasing limited-edition products to mark the occasion. It's not the pairing we expected, but hey, sometimes the best friendships come from the most unexpected places, right?
Apparently, the whole idea is to celebrate those awesome bonds we have with our friends and create a sense of connection between consumers. There are two limited edition products hitting the shelves – a cookie and a drink: The OREO® Coca-Cola™ Sandwich Cookie and the Coca-Cola® OREO™ Zero Sugar Limited Edition drink. It might seem like an odd couple, but both brands have been about embracing new experiences and having a bit of fun.
The drink (Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar) promises a Coca-Cola taste with hints of OREO cookie notes. We'd be curious to see how they've managed to capture that classic OREO® taste in a drink! As for the cookie (OREO Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie), it features two chocolate basecakes with – get this – Coca-Cola flavour, white creme and red edible glitter.
But "BESTIES" is more than just about the new products. The brands have also curated digital music experiences in a partnership with Spotify to create the ‘Bestie Mode Digital Experience,’ which lets you and your bestie sync your music preferences and create shared playlists. To activate it, you just scan your Coca-Cola or OREO products and connect through Spotify.
Users will be prompted with questions to see how their taste in music stacks up against their bestie’s. A playlist will then be generated with combined music preferences for besties to enjoy together.
