Cointreau has unveiled Cointreau Spicy in Singapore, a bold new take on its signature orange liqueur infused with a chili kick.
The new expression is said to be crafted with Spicy Margaritas, punchy highballs, and adventurous twists on classic cocktails in mind, tapping into the demand for bold, heat-driven cocktails.
The expression is infused with Bird’s Eye chilli through maceration, natural chilli and jalapeño flavourings. A touch of natural cucumber is said to provide vegetal “green” notes, creating a profile the brand says is bold yet clean, lifted and balanced.
To mark the launch, Cointreau will bring the heat to Yardbird Southern Table & Bar on Friday, 18 September 2026, with $10 spicy cocktails, including the Mango Spicy cocktail and takes of the Paloma, Highball and Margarita, alongside flavourful Pork Belly or Spicy Shrimp tacos at $8.
Guests can also put their spice tolerance to the test in a highly anticipated hot wings competition.
From September to October 2026, guests can also enjoy Cointreau Spicy cocktails
across 15 outlets islandwide, including Mars Bar, The Bar at 15 Stamford,
Mnemonic Brew & Craft and Flying Squirrel.
At Canning Bar & Lounge, a Cointreau guest shift featuring Bangkok’s social club, The Consul, will take place on Thursday, 17 September, from 7pm to 10pm. Limited-edition Cointreau merchandise will also be redeemable via scratch cards with every purchase of Cointreau Spicy cocktails at Papi’s Tacos’ outlets in Tanjong Pagar, Jalan Besar, Seah Street, and Katong.
Travellers who purchase a Cointreau Spicy bottle at the airport can also redeem a complimentary Spicy Margarita at the rooftop Mexican bar, EL CHIDO in Pullman Singapore Hill Street. The bar will also be running a three-month Cointreau Spicy cocktail offer.
According to Cointreau's international research, spice is in demand; 76% of consumers enjoy spicy flavors and 64% favor balanced warmth over extreme heat. Cointreau is also riding the wave of the Spicy Margarita, which has surged to No. 9 on Difford’s Top 100 Cocktails alongside the timeless Original Margarita, currently the world's second most-ordered bar drink.
Cointreau Spicy is now available across Singapore both in-store and online at Cold Storage and Cellarbration. Shoppers at Cellarbration can also score an exclusive twin bundle deal that comes with a free signature Cointreau Margarita glass with every purchase.
