Little Bao x Junior The Pocket Bar: Don’t Miss This Pop-Up On Feb 28-29!

Here’s an exciting pop-up for cocktail and Hong Kong food lovers!

Little Bao, an award-winning Hong Kong restaurant known for its innovative take on Hong Kong comfort food and flavours, is coming to Junior The Pocket Bar – ranked by Asia’s 50 Best Bars. 

For two nights on February 28th and 29th, Junior The Pocket would feature a pop-up menu curated by Little Bao’s founder, a Chinese-Canadian Chef and restaurateur May Chow.

 

 

Now, Little Bao is an award-winning gem in Hong Kong culinary scene that has made waves for its experimental fusion cuisine, drawing inspiration from global flavours and techniques while serving up Hong Kong comfort food. Its signature dish, Pork Belly Bao (招牌豬腩包), has captivated the scene since its introduction.

 

 

At this pop-up, we’ll get to experience Little Bao's fun and innovative dining with their iconic baos, fries, and signature Hong Kong dishes that have made Little Bao a culinary standout.

 

 

Highlights include– 

  • The classic Fried Chicken Bao (炸三黃雞包), a perfect blend of crispy fried chicken, Chiangkiang black vinegar glaze, and homemade Szechuan peppercorn mayo, all sandwiched between two fluffy buns.
  • Stir Fried Beef Noodles Fries (乾炒牛河薯條), a creative take on the Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng classic, featuring crispy fries topped with beef, bean sprouts, yellow chives, onion, and scallion, promising a burst of flavours with every bite.
  • Singaporeans would probably get excited about a special edition Ice Cream Bao, made in collaboration with the local favourite Apiary Ice Creamery. 

 

 

To complement the culinary offerings, Hazel Long, the owner of Junior The Pocket Bar, will also curate some cocktails that perfectly pair with Little Bao's dishes.

We can look forward to the Mushroom Peppercorn Martini sponsored by KI NO BI Kyoto Dry Gin, blending umami and peppery flavours for a unique savoury experience. Whisk(e)y lovers might also enjoy the Pineapple Soy Sauce Highball made with Jameson Irish Whiskey and offering up a nice mix of Southeast Asian flavours.
