Burgundy Lovers' Wine Club South Bridge Réserve Is Widening the Door With New Associate Membership

Next month, private members’ wine club South Bridge Réserve, best known for its focus on Burgundy wines, would open its doors more widely with the launch of an Associate Membership – the first time the club has extended access beyond its existing invite-only structure since it officially opened in July last year.
The wine club first opened doors in Singapore in May 2025 and has spent the past year consolidating a tightly curated community of about 200 members. The programming reflects a focused approach. Regular events include the likes of “Village Wednesdays,” where each session spotlights a different Côte de Beaune or Côte de Nuits appellation, alongside more relaxed gatherings that pair wine with yoga or gelato, and kitchen-takeover dinner sessions – the intent is to curate a series of events that read less like formal tastings and more like an evening with people who happen to know a lot about wine.

A look at the club’s events calendar gives a reasonable sense of the range: this month alone, sessions include a village-by-village comparative tasting of Marsannay, Chambolle-Musigny, and Gevrey-Chambertin poured old guard against newer producers; a sit-down with Kei Shiogai, a Japanese winemaker based in Burgundy whose lineup runs through to a Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru; and a dinner with Ted Lemon of California's Littorai, who was the first American appointed as winemaker and vineyard manager at a Burgundian domaine. The club has also formed partnerships with Baghera Club and Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, giving members access to bottles and events that do not typically surface in Singapore retail.

For its first year, that was the full picture: a tightly curated community with a careful membership vetting process. This May, however, the club is introducing a shorter-term Associate Membership. The Associate Membership is priced at S$150 a month with no automatic renewal, is aimed at people who wish to explore the bottles and conversations that the club is built around, without fully committing to a permanent seat. The club describes this segment as genuinely curious about Burgundy wine, and specifically Burgundy, but who would not necessarily describe themselves as collectors or serious enthusiasts in the traditional sense.
It is a notable move for a club that spent its first year consolidating its community before widening the door at all. The $150 monthly fee, with no lock-in, keeps the stakes relatively low for someone still finding their footing in the world of fine wine.
