Nose: burnt rubber, racetrack, light notes of sweet fruit, hints of the blacktop basketball court on a hot and rainy day, autumn leaves ready to be raked, very interesting.

Palate: light, some wood, I feel like this is what drinking perfume would taste like but without the perfumic aromas. Yes, i know, perfumic is not a word.

Finish: short and spicy or long and bitter. Initially there was spice, but it disappears pretty quickly. A bitterness lasts though so is the finish long?

It's an interesting drink, but not my cup of tea. I can appreciate the nose though. The palate is more or less like every other typical 10+ aged single malt scotch (sans Islay), so maybe my palate is still amateaurish, I'm drunk, or the taste really is like other typical scotches. Never really understood the fandom with Glenrothes, but I guess I have many more bottles to try.

Grade: C
