Glentauchers 1995, Gordon & Macphail, Cask Strength, 18 years, First Fill Sherry Butts No. 5072 and 5073, 58.3% abv.

Nose: purple grapes, honey, green apples, waxy, general sweetness, I swear I smell cake.

Palate: slightly dry, golden apples, light wood,  that young tofu/old steamed lotus leaves flavor pops up later, typical, but I could sense the high abv.

Finish: short, moderately spicey, dry, oily wood.

Dry glass: apple and toast.

I felt it was moderately enjoyable. Not bad and not good. Nothing really stood out in any aspect, although admittedly it is better than most typical drams.

Grade: C
