Parker's Heritage, 11 years, Barrel No. 5027262, 61% abv.

The 2017 11th release in the PHC is supposedly from Parker’s “favorite rickhouse location,” Deatsville. Heaven Hill donates $15 to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) research and treatment for every PHC bottle sold, in honor of Master Distiller Parker Beam. Parker Beam passed away from ALS in 2017, before this bottle release.

Nose: strong coconuts, honey, cake? like the yellow bread portion in a layered cake, light peanuts.

Palate: honey, drying, initial palate is light honey, mid palate gets very dry, some leaves, back palate is spicey, light honey, a little bit of oak, walnuts?

Finish: short, dry, nuts.

For the legendary Parker's Heritage it's not that good, its extremely dry with honey and peanut notes all over. Its a little hard to take to be honest, not sure if its the abv or the flavor profile, but it specializes in a bourbon sweetness that is filled with peanuts and wood.

Grade: C
