White Horse, Fine Old Scotch Whisky, YA No. 2047200

Online sources appear to date this around later 1984 to early 1985. My Korean is horrible, but I thought the owner said this bottle was from 1962. This is kinda big because White Horse from the 60s was quite good, but the 80s... was a different story.

Nose: grapes, honey, cedar. Rubbing on hands produces prune juice.

Palate: light body, slight non-oak wood, smooth.

Finish: light to moderate, abv seems more than it should be, not much going on.

Wow, pretty boring and totally underwhelming. Didn't feel like White Horse, or I'm confused. Then again, I've only had vintage White Horse and only in Japan. Had this at Slainte mhath bar in Busan, South Korea.

Grade: D+
