A Once In A Lifetime Chance At Booker's First And Only Single Barrel Selection

Booker's Bourbon doesn't do single barrel selections - but a second shot at life is worth changing that.

In spring 2021, Booker's Master Blender, ad great-grandson of Jim beam, Fred Noe received a new kidney from co-worker at Jim Beam. After the lifechanging surgery at the University of Kentucky HealthCare, Fred was asked if he could help out with a local Medicinal Whiskey Charity, where doctors and other donors would donate bourbon to raise funds for the charity.

Fred then got approval from the Beam leadership about bottling a first ever special Booker's Single Barrel Bourbon selection, named the "Second Chance Batch". This once in a lifetime special bottle is of course, only available through said Medicinal Whiskey Charity.

Noe said since then he’s had “a new lease on life. And with it, I wanted to do something for the first time to celebrate those who made this journey possible.”

This bourbon is “from one barrel in the sweet spot of dad’s favorite rickhouse, handpicked by me and my friends at the Medicinal Whiskey Charity, for my friends at UK HealthCare,” Noe said. “The taste is full of big, bold discoveries. It stands apart from everything else and should be celebrated.

“Just like DeeAnn and my friends at the University.”

The special expression is the result of the doctors visiting the Clermont distillery, where they were able to pull a special barrel to be bottled, the bottles of which will help raise money for medical assistance.

The most recent bourbon auction where the bottles was auctioned was reported to have raised more than $15,000 for the Kentucky's Children's Hospital and the UK Transplant Center, with the special edition of Booker's going under the hammer for $6,275.

Three additional bottles from the single barrel have been now allocated to a special sweepstakes to raise funds for the UK HealthCare Transplant Center Patient Assistance Fund, which provides financial support for lodging, travel and dental care for patients seeking transplants.

The sweepstakes will be open from 1 - 10 December 2022, with the final draw happening on 15 December 2022.

Tickets to the sweepstakes are available at:

Three winners will be selected to receive a bottle each, signed by Master Distiller Fred Noe.
