What You Need To Know:

• Appleton Estate’s Hearts Collection is adding two new single vintage expressions to its fold - the 1993 and 2002 vintages.

• These will join the five single vintages that has been released - 1994, 1995, 1999, 1983 and 2006. All vintages are distilled using a Forsyths pot still and selected by Appleton Estate's Master Blender Joy Spence.

• Tasting Notes - 1993 Vintage (29 Years Old): "Aromas of Nutmeg and Cinnamon, Mint, Warm Butterscotch, Toasted Oak and Honeyed Vanilla"

• Tasting Notes - 2002 Vintage (20 Years Old): "Aromas of Orange Blossoms, Molasses, Warm Vanilla, Medium Roasted Coffee, Caramel, and Rich and Smooth Honeyed Taste" 

• The new 1993 and 2002 vintage expressions will be made available from February 2023 onwards across Europe, and for Asia, Singapore and Japan.

Appleton Estate, a Jamaican staple, began releasing single vintage rums in 2020 in partnership with Italian importer Velier's chief Luca Gargano, named the Hearts Collection.

What started out as a limited series of three vintages has since grown to five select vintages - 1994, 1995, 1999, 1983 and 2006, and now will have two more vintages added to its fold, 1993 and 2002.

All vintages are distilled using a Forsyths pot still, with the latest editions selected from just 13 and 20 barrels for the 1993 and 2002 vintages respectively. These barrels were selected by Appleton Estate's Master Blender Joy Spence, one of rum's most prolific distillers, from almost 200,000 barrels tropically ageing in Appleton's warehouses in Jamaica.

The 1993 vintage expression has been aged for 29 years, while the 2002 expression was aged for 20 years.
