Buchanan's Debuts Green Seal Blended Scotch Made With Experimental Wine Yeast

Diageo-owned Blended Scotch brand Buchanan's is debuting a new expression, Green Seal, created with a ‘never-before-released’ Glen Elgin single malt and a new experimental wine yeast.

Buchanan's Green Seal is designed to captures the spirit of "ritmo" (Spanish for "rhythm"), or a energy of celebrations with close friends and family in Latin culture.

It is said to have strong tropical fruit notes of citrus, milk chocolate, creamy vanilla and warm wood spices, with hints of toffee and apricot jam. It is also recommended neat, on the rocks, with a splash of coconut water and in cocktails such as a Highball.

The bottle features the brand's signature emerald-green glass and gold accents, a marriage of the brand's heritage with the richness and warmth of Latino culture. The bottle's circular shape also embraces movement and the "inner circle" theme celebrated by the expression.

Green Seal is bottled at 40% ABV with an MSRP of US$100.
