La Maison & Velier Takes On New Flag Series: Guyana 1998 & Trinidad 2002

As part of La Maison & Velier's 5th Anniversary in 2022, a new Flag Series was kickstarted, and while it faced some delays, it is now here!

"FLAG SERIES represents rare and exceptional spirits that are sure to impress even the most discerning palate. FLAG SERIES bottlings are always “au naturel” – bottled at cask strength with no artifice, coloring or filtration. 100% additive free rum."

Two rum single casks have been bottled for the US Market - a 1998 Guyana and a 2002 Trinidad.

Guyana 1998, Flag Series, MP98MP, Port Mourant

This expression was produced from DDL's Port Mourant still using fermented molasses and has been aged for 2 years tropically in Bourbon barrels and an additional 22 years continentally in a Port cask, before being bottled finally at 59% ABV cask strength.

Trinidad 2002, Flag Series, TD02TML02

The expression was distilled using column stills from fermented molasses, subsequently aged for 15 years tropically in ex-Bourbon casks before an additional 5 years of continental ageing. It is bottled at cask strength of 63.1% ABV.
