Suntory To Release Ao Irish Edition, First Of New World Travel Collection Series

Suntory first released its inaugural World Whisky, the Suntory Ao, in 2019, which has gone on to be quite the hit for an everyday dram, even garnering for itself a Smoky Pleasure edition extension some time later.
Now Suntory Ao is not just any world blend whisky, it stands as a big deal because its one thing to source whiskies from around the world and blend them, but it's a whole other flex that Suntory Ao's world blend is entirely made of whiskies that the Suntory Group owns! That means that Suntory is making whisky across the five major whisky producing regions of Scotland, US, Canada, Japan and Ireland, all around the world!
Well, now it looks like Suntory is ready to dig into it deeper, with a Suntory Ao Irish Edition that will be available across Japan from 9th June 2026.
But wait, there's more!
The Suntory Ao Irish Edition is but the first in a new World Travel Collection series, which aims to highlight the unique characteristics of each of the world's five major whiskies, all of which Suntory is active in.
The bottle will feature an Echizen washi paper label, expressing the characteristics of Irish whiskey with its bright colours.
The new Suntory Ao Irish Edition will be bottled at 43% ABV, and be priced at 6,000 Yen (US$37.70), coming in a standard 700ml format.
