National Wine Day (25th May) is fast coming up! In celebration of National Wine Day, Marks & Spencer has prepared a wine tasting event featuring a curated selection of sommelier-approved wines.

Those interested will also be able to have them expertly paired with premium cheeses and gourmet snacks, also available exclusively at M&S! 

These wines aren't just good; they're award-winning. Among the selection spanning reds, whites, and sparkling varieties, many have earned medals from top global competitions like the International Wine Challenge, Decanter, and the International Wine & Spirit Competition, proving their exceptional quality and taste.

The selection includes:

M&S Classics Crémant de Bourgogne: This is a sparkling wine hailing from the Cote d’Or region in France. It is touted to have good minerality courtesy of the higher altitude, and notes of peach blossom, apricot and redcurrants. M&S Classic Riesling: A refreshing mineral German Riesling, this is said to combine notes of citrus and peach with a light and vibrant profile. This wine is recommended to be served chilled and is likely a good match for spicy Asian cuisine, light seafood dishes, or soft cheeses.

M&S Collection Saint Emilion Moueix: Blended and aged in Libourne's historic Quai du Priourat cellars, M&S Collection Saint Emilion Christian Moueix is an elegant and refined red wine with distinctive notes of plum, cedar and leather.

M&S Collection Chianti Classico Riserva Poggio Tosco: Crafted in Tuscany's picturesque hills, M&S Collection Chianti is aged for 12 months in large Slovenian oak casks. It is said to have intense aromas of Morello cherries, violets and chocolate and will likely complement lasagne and steak.

M&S Collection Rioja Gran Reserva El Duque De Miralta: A mature and elegant red, M&S Collection Rioja Gran Reserva El Duque De Miralta presents notes of vanilla, coconut, and leather. Toasted oak nuances accompany undertones of fresh red berries, dried raisins and spice. This complex wine is touted to pair beautifully with lamb and game dishes, creamy mushroom risottos and cheese boards.
