We've got something fresh for you. You might be familiar with Stay Gold Flamingo the award-winning bar that clinched a spot in Asia's 50 Best Bars this year. Well, their co-founder, JiaWei Bai has unveiled a brand-new venture: White Shades.

White Shades is ambitious. Housed in a classic four-story shophouse on Boon Tat Street, it’s not just one bar – it houses 3 different cocktail concepts and is what they call a "progressive cocktail playground". Sounds fancy, right? Let us break it down for you.

First Floor - Dessert: Ever had alcoholic ice cream? We're not talking about a splash of rum in your sundae. The first and ground floor works like an ice cream parlour. White Shades offers 12 unique ice creams, with four flavors giving a new meaning to “boozy indulgence”. And if you fancy something lighter, their juniper-flavored cones and low-ABV tea cocktails will surely hit the spot.

Second Floor - Cocktail: Ascend a level and the scene shifts. Imagine sipping on a cocktail inspired by Hermès scarves, or perhaps one named after a bomber jacket, in a room draped in dark tones and accented with man-made stone. This is where you chat, connect, and just let the mellow R&B tunes transport you.  Guests are invited to connect here, with cosy indoor seats for intimate conversations; outdoor tables for the revellers; and waist-high ledges for those preferring to mingle while standing close to the bar.

And the food? From a Rendang Grilled Cheese that promises comfort with every bite to a fiery Beef Tartare that packs a punch, there's something to tickle every palate.

The Rooftop: When you're ready to take things up a notch, the rooftop is where White Shades really lets its hair down. You’ve got live music, games, and a view to kill. There will also be a corner filled with games to further liven up the space. Best part? Their draft beers and cocktails won't break the bank – all under $20.
