The House of Suntory Presents Tsukuriwake Tastings: Sensorially-Minded Cuisine Meets Limited Edition Whiskies


To celebrate the launch of its 2024 Tsukuriwake Series Limited Edition in Singapore, The House of Suntory, the Founding House of Japanese Whisky, is proudly launching an enticing lineup of whisky and dining experiences, crafted in collaboration with five esteemed chefs. 

House of Suntory continues to celebrate whisky innovation with four groundbreaking single malts from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries: the Yamazaki Golden Promise, Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt, Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara (Tsukuriwake 2024 Edition) and Hakushu 18 Year Old Peated Malt (Tsukuriwake 2024 Edition).

Set in August 2024, The House of Suntory will collaborate with celebrated chefs in Singapore to craft a beskope culinary menu designed to showcase the exquisite flavor profiles of the 2024 Tsukuriwake Series Limited Edition. The five esteemed chefs were chosen for embodying similar visions of quality, ingenuity, and expressiveness.  

Included in the chef line up is Kazuhiro Hamamoto of Hamamoto, Keiichi Kobayashi of Shinji by Kanesaka, Ryujiro Nakamura of Sushi Ryujiro Singapore, Taro Takayama of Takayama and Tetsuya Wakuda of Wakuda Singapore.


 


Hamamoto: The rich and complex 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection pairs seamlessly with Chef Kazuhiro Hamamoto's exquisite cuisine, featuring the freshest ingredients sourced from Japan. Seasonal highlights include the sought-after Hokkaido hairy crabs, delicately poached in a flavourful crab stock, and the irresistible Ise Ebi sashimi, topped with premium uni and Kaluga caviar. Guests can enjoy a 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection flight tasting from 1 to 31 August at $288++.

Shinji by Kanesaka: Come on an evocative journey at Shinji that transforms the senses, perfectly reflecting the transient beauty of each passing season. Head Chef Keiichi Kobayashi and his team take centre stage at a 300-year-old Hinoki counter for a delightful night of culinary experiences. Guests embark on a curated omakase menu, inclusive of a 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection flight tasting from 15 to 16 August at $650++.



Sushi Ryujiro Singapore: Savour the freshest ingredients, speciality sushi, and handcrafted sauces with an 18-course omakase menu at the first Singapore outpost of the One Michelin Star and “Silver” Tabelog Awardee, Sushi Ryujiro. Guests can enjoy this exquisite menu, inclusive of a 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection flight tasting, on 23 August at $588++.

Takayama: Guided by the Japanese hospitality principle of Omotenashi, The House of Suntory and Chef Taro Takayama present an experiential dinner that highlights their dedication to craft. Guests can enjoy a 7-course dinner menu, inclusive of a 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection flight tasting from 20 to 22 August at $520++.

Wakuda: These exceptional whiskies are perfectly paired with an epicurean menu, blending art, cuisine, and culture in a vibrant setting that highlights Chef Tetsuya’s renowned culinary style. The menu includes bites curated by Chef Paval, inclusive of a 2024 Tsukuriwake Selection flight tasting from 1 to 29 August 2024 at $328++.
