Wine Connection Returns With Two-Day Annual Tasting Fair Featuring Over 170 Wine Labels

Wine Connection, Southeast Asia’s leading chain of wine retail stores and wine-themed restaurants, continues on its mission to spread the growing love for wine in Singapore with the return of its Wine Tasting Fair. The event will occur over two days, from 23 to 24 November 2024.
Attendees of the event can expect to explore over 170 wine labels available at the fair, including 40 new and exclusive selections from Wine Connection’s upcoming 2025 collection, sourced internationally and curated over 6 months. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet 30 winemakers and estate representatives, who will walk you through their wines. It is the perfect opportunity for wine lovers to discover new labels, taste new varietals, and mingle with like-minded appreciators in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
The event will take place at the Wine Connection Bistro at Robertson Walk and is open to the public from 23 and 24 November 2024. Tickets are priced at $49.90 per person. It entitles you to entry to the fair as well as a $20 wine voucher, meet-and-greet with winemakers, exclusive deals on all featured wines, lucky draws, and complimentary gifts with purchase. Attendees of the event can enjoy exclusive perks such as free delivery with a minimum purchase of $250 (a delivery fee of $20 is applicable for orders below $250).
For a more pleasant experience, the fair is broken down into three sessions:
- Slot A: Saturday, 23 November 2024, 1-4pm
- Slot B: Saturday, 23 November 2024, 6-9pm
- Slot C: Sunday 24 November 2024, 2-6pm

New Wines to Look Forward To
Every year, Wine Connection undergoes an eight-week selection process to compile its new wine collection, ensuring only the finest offerings are chosen. This year, the shortlisted wines will make their debut at the fair before hitting Wine Connection’s wine list islandwide. The selection process commences with an annual tender process from over 3,000 winemakers from wineries worldwide. From the tenders, 500 wines are selected by Wine Connection’s Tasting Committee, which conducts two rounds of tasting to finalize the finest 50 wines. All committee members are certified wine experts, bearing qualifications including Masters, WSET, and CWS.
New wineries joining the lineup this year include Mission Estate Winery, New Zealand’s oldest winery with history and tradition dating back to 1851. Founded by French missionaries in the sun-drenched Hawke’s Bay region, it offers a portfolio ranging from vibrant Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris to rich Merlot and Syrah. With a focus on sustainable practices and minimal intervention, the winery combines Old World craftsmanship with New World innovation. Highlights include the Mission Estate “Reserve” Cabernet Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc, which showcase the winery’s blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation.
Additionally featured is the Paul Mas, a highly esteemed winery in the Languedoc region of Southern France, celebrated for its innovative approach to traditional winemaking and its dedication to crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines. Founded in 2000 by Jean-Claude Mas, the winery has gained global acclaim for its refined and accessible wines that accurately reflect the characteristics of the Mediterranean climate and Languedoc's diverse vineyards. With a portfolio that spans from bold, structured reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to refreshing whites and elegant rosés, Paul Mas is recognized for its sustainable practices and innovative techniques adopted.
Exclusive Award-Winners Worth Uncorking
Award-winners are also part of the lineup. Moillard showcases the power and balance of its Bourgogne Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Southern Burgundy, 100% aged in oak barrels, while Selbach-Oster brings forth many award-winning Rieslings, such as the SELBACH-OSTER "Zeltinger Schlossberg" Riesling Kabinett that regularly rates 90+ points James Suckling and is grown on the steep hills of the Mosel Valley in Germany.
Chilean varieties are showcased with Cinso’s Cinsault, a vegan wine that is proudly produced by Luis Felipe Edwards vineyards, unoaked and unfiltered, scoring a proud 91 points from Decanter, 90 points from Tim Atkin and 91 points from James Suckling.
More Australian varieties are poured with the EVOI ‘The Satyr’, a Cabernet Sauvignon,, Petit Verdot & Malbec blend from Margaret River while a particular champagne to look forward to would be the Ernest Rapeneau 2016 Vintage Champagne since vintage wines are produced only in exceptional years.

Individuals looking to expand and refine their palates will benefit from the extensive selection of wines available for tasting. Attendees of the event will also receive the opportunity to sample new and exclusive labels before they are made commercially available in retail stores.
French varietals impress with Seignouret Frères, Patriarche Père & Fils, Les Grands Chais de France, Bonnet & Associés, Champagne GH Martel, and Domaine Paul Mas. From Italy, look forward to Barbanera Vini, Botter, and Edoardo Freddi, Portugal joins the fair with makers like Symington Family Estates while Argentina premieres its Bodega Zuccardi Valle de Uco, and Spain holds its fort with Baron De Ley. Australia showcases the best of Larry Cherubino and Singlefile while New Zealand introduces Mission Estate & Johnson Estate.
Meet the Makers
Individuals keen on gaining deeper insights into wines beyond simply tasting will have the opportunity to engage in in-person conversations with a selection of esteemed producers at the event.
This year’s event will feature participation from owners, chief winemakers, brand managers, and winery representatives from Duke’s Vineyard, Symington Family Estate, Cherubino Wines, Barbanera Vini, Mission Estate, Bodega Zuccardi, Patriarche Père & Fils, and Château Croix de Labrie.
From Duke’s Vineyard, Ben Cane was previously the chief winemaker at top labels in Australia and California, before he was entrusted by Duke to continue running the family-owned operation renowned for internationalizing Great Southern Rieslings.
Larry Cherubino from Cherubino will discuss the land and the wines produced by him and his wife in the Frankland River sub-region of the Great Southern, Australia’s largest wine region by geography. A small parcel, originally part of a large, historic holding called Riversdale, their dream then was simply to plant their very own vineyard. An opportunity to acquire the neighboring property, with acres of prime river and vineyard country, enlarged their vision. Frankland River retains its position today as the heart of Cherubino’s operations and an essential part of its legacy.
From EVOI Wines, owner Nigel Ludlow began his winemaking career in his native land, New Zealand. After 5 years of working internationally as a winemaker in Hungary, South Africa, and Spain, he settled down in Margaret River, Western Australia in 2003. Driven by his passion for winemaking, Ludlow founded his wine label in 2007, where he first created EVOI Wines from 2 barrels of Chardonnay. Since then, the business has grown into a highly acclaimed boutique winery, gaining recognition and hence being awarded the “Western Australia Winery of the Year” award at the Melbourne International Wine Show and a Halliday 5 Red Star rating.
