Following its sold out debut last year in the UK, Acharacle-based Ardnamurchan is marking a return of its single malt whisky: The Midgie, this time with a global relaunch.
This whisky takes its name from a "mischievous little pest" that can be found in the Highlands of Scotland each summer. According to the brand, The Midgie is distilled "with care and a cheeky sense of Highland humor."
The 2025 release is a blend of both peated and unpeated spirits, distilled across 2017, 2018, and 2019. These spirits were then matured in a combination of Bourbon barrels and Port casks, and is said to have sweet, smoky, savoury, and summer flower notes.
The Midgie is limited to 16,500 bottles globally with each at 48% ABV, at an MSRP of £55 (US$74).
