Glenrothes' core range which currently features the 18 Year Old and the 25 Year Old, will now see the addition of the new Glenrothes 15 Year Old.
One of Scotland's historic distilleries, Glenrothes is known for its Sherry forward whiskies, and its particularly unique tubular bottle shape.
The new Glenrothes 15 Year Old is aged exclusively in European oak Sherry-seasoned casks, selected specially by the distillery's Master Whisky Maker Laura Rampling.
It is characterised as rich and sweet, with flavours of caramelised pears, dark chocolate, sweet baking spices, pecan pie, crystalised ginger and orange marmalade.
The Glenrothes 15 Year Old is bottled at 43% ABV, and comes packaged in an additional dual-layered cylinder which houses the whisky bottle. It takes a green shade, drawing inspiration from the natural greenery found around the Glenrothes estate, and is also eco-friendly, with the packaging fully recyclable.
It is priced at US$130.
