Mel Chavez, Bar Manager (in training) from Smoke and Mirrors

The familiar Smoke and Mirrors team is joining the exciting line-up of Singapore Cocktail Festival’s Village! In collaboration with Monkey 47, Bar Manager (in training) Mel Chavez will be mixing up the Bread and Butter - a buttered Monkey 47 with pineapple liqueur, barley syrup and lemon juice, alongside the Breakfast Negroni and Sloe Fizz. The trio of cocktails will be available at the Smoke and Mirrors bar from 5th May to 21st May.

Smoke and Mirrors is perched on the rooftop of the National Gallery Singapore, overlooking the city skyline and serving up experimental twists on classic cocktails.

House Collective Bar Takeover at Smoke and Mirrors!

Beyond participating in the SGCF Village, Smoke and Mirrors will be hosting the House Collective, where a quartet of accomplished bartenders will be hosting a bar takeover:

  • UNION’s Head of Bars, Harry Zhang, will be showcasing his innovation and flair with the Frugal Hemingway - a fruity and zesty rum cocktail with grapefruit, lime, plum and tomato.

  • The globetrotter and Head of Bars at Cafe Gray Deluxe Matthew Hall, condenses his travels with the Cheese Teh Tarik - a parmesan infused bourbon with cold-brewed tea, pistachio orgeat and jaggery.

  • William Zhang, Head Bartender of Jing Bar in Chengdu, displays his craft with his Ecco Rouge, a shaken cocktail of red wine, Thai Montenegro and raspberry vinegar.
