Mel Chavez, Bar Manager (in training) from Smoke and Mirrors
The familiar Smoke and Mirrors team is joining the exciting line-up of Singapore Cocktail Festival’s Village! In collaboration with Monkey 47, Bar Manager (in training) Mel Chavez will be mixing up the Bread and Butter - a buttered Monkey 47 with pineapple liqueur, barley syrup and lemon juice, alongside the Breakfast Negroni and Sloe Fizz. The trio of cocktails will be available at the Smoke and Mirrors bar from 5th May to 21st May.
Smoke and Mirrors is perched on the rooftop of the National Gallery Singapore, overlooking the city skyline and serving up experimental twists on classic cocktails.
House Collective Bar Takeover at Smoke and Mirrors!
Beyond participating in the SGCF Village, Smoke and Mirrors will be hosting the House Collective, where a quartet of accomplished bartenders will be hosting a bar takeover:

Gail Lanorias, Operations Manager at Hong Kong’s Salisterra Bar, will be featuring her knowledge and skills with the tequila based Salty Storm, inspired by China’s 7-Up Salty Lime.

UNION’s Head of Bars, Harry Zhang, will be showcasing his innovation and flair with the Frugal Hemingway - a fruity and zesty rum cocktail with grapefruit, lime, plum and tomato.

The globetrotter and Head of Bars at Cafe Gray Deluxe Matthew Hall, condenses his travels with the Cheese Teh Tarik - a parmesan infused bourbon with cold-brewed tea, pistachio orgeat and jaggery.
- William Zhang, Head Bartender of Jing Bar in Chengdu, displays his craft with his Ecco Rouge, a shaken cocktail of red wine, Thai Montenegro and raspberry vinegar.
Sora Bar’s Duo Serve Up Cambodian Themed Cocktails
Director of Bars Bob Louison and Bar Manager Udom Chhoun from Sora Bar in Rosewood Phnom Penh will be wrapping up the Cocktail Festival weekend guest shift line-up at Smoke & Mirrors. Get to taste four cocktails that showcase Cambodian native ingredients: the Jewel Princess, The Shapeshifter, the kampot-pepper infused The Fox and The Leaf, and the banana forward Birds of Prey.
Sora Bar is the highest sky bar in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, spotlighting Cambodian ingredients with sophisticated cocktails as well as sporting a whisky library in-house.
Wishbone’s Koco Widyatno City Takeover at Smoke and Mirror’s
Smoke & Mirrors will take part in the City Takeover with a guest shift from Wishbone, Indonesia’s Head Bartender, Koco Widyatno. Learning much from his travels around the world, Koco will be bringing his unique Indonesian speakeasy vibe with his innovative drinks.
Wishbone exudes the energy of a jazz bar along with the classy suave of a cigar lounge. The team at Wishbone serve up the classics as well as complex cocktails made with regional ingredients.
