Bali has truly been a 'spiritual' (heh) revelation for me. Like many, I once associated it with cheap drinks in no-frills bars, and knocking back one too many Bintangs. But after discovering places like The Shady Pig and The Mail Room Bar, I'll never look at Bali the same way again.
Bars like this are using quality ingredients (including outstanding locally produced spirits and liqueurs), advanced techniques, and serving up inventive, dangerously delicious drinks that are well worth the premium. Think Babi Guling Negronis, Banana Old Fashioneds, and now even a cocktail named after a certain patron (thanks for that, @_arisseptiawan!).
I'm truly impressed by these developments and discoveries, and happy to have so many more reasons to head back to Bali soon!
